It defines the rules and conventions for transmitting hypertext including text, images, links, and other multimedia content like embedded videos, between web browsers and servers, exchange of information between a user’s browser and the web server, allowing the retrieval and display of web pages. This lack of encryption poses a security risk, especially when sensitive information like login credentials or personal data is transmitted. □ HTTP operates over an unencrypted connection, making data accessible to hackers. The primary distinction between them lies in the level of security provided. HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) and HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) are protocols used for communication on the World Wide Web. The first step was to learn the difference between HTTP and HTTPS. While educators have the opportunity to be creative in instructional planning, technical writing often requires strict style guides and standards and may be restrictive. There is a large learning curve to transitioning into a Technical Writer role. Hence, the reason why having technical skills is soooo important! Technical writing roles often seem to offer opportunities to individuals who come from CS degree. Educators are also accustomed to tailoring content to different learning styles and audience needs, which translates well into crafting user-friendly technical documentation. They hold deep knowledge in specific subject areas, making it easier to understand and explain complex technical concepts. Educators often possess great communication, organization, and instructural design skills, which are highly valuable in technical writing. There are definitely lots of pros and cons in pursuit of this career shift.ġ. Throughout my training experience, I've learned a few things that helped me better structure my skills. Marketing myself in this competitive industry hasn't been easy! With numerous candidates with extended tech background experience, it is truly challenging to compete.
